ANCH1250 – The Rise of Ancient Rome: Roman History from Romulus to Augustus62.0
This course was so incredibly pedantic and garrulous. The lecturer seemed to think we needed to know the fathers and grandfathers of all the important people as well as mentioning several people whose historical importance and role in Roman history was miniscle. The first few lectures ran overtime. Usually I love my history courses but this was not taught in an interesting way at all. There was no sense of a interconnected, linear, holistic and engaging story because of the social and political progressions and causations not being expounded upon. It was almost entirely factual rhetoric.

Very interesting course with a great introduction to Roman history. The essay topics on offer from the tutorials are very interesting and a student will learn much in undertaking the research for them. The provided resource lists for the essays are extremely handy and very interesting.
