ANCH2030 – Myth, Magic and Religion in the Ancient World80.7
This was a very engaging and interesting course with lots of insight into ancient religions and their practices. The end of semester exam is a bit of a challenge (two essays of six pages each in two hours), and topics available for the essay aren't as interesting as they could be. There is plenty of information and readings on blackboard that are very helpful. There are also a lot of readings from a variety of different sources (some of which are online) and the course 'requires' four books but unless you're using one for an essay, they aren't really required. However, it is also a very fun course.
(Note, I took this course under Dr. Shushma Malik)
ANCH2030 – Myth, Magic and Religion in the Ancient World74.2
Very interesting course with some grade course materials. Provided some unique insight into the religions of the ancient world. Great course for anyone interested in ancient history, though the essay topics on offer are not as interesting as they could be, given the content.
