LING1005 – Introduction to Linguistics: The Sound Pattern of Language 87.0

I took this course as an elective out of interest and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I found the content very interesting, a great introduction to phonetics/phonology. it is only 3 hrs of contact a week (2 hrs lecture and 1hr tutorial) which are not compulsory. The lecturer Erich Round is great, he teaches you exactly what you need to know and explains everything very clearly. The assessment is quite simple, a small online excercise per week, a phonetic transcription test and final which is quite simple if you study for it. If you have an interest in this subject it is a easy 7. So If you have any interest in the sounds of language then i definitely recommend this course.
