METR4202 – Advanced Control & Robotics 70.8

Interesting course, almost all group work. The course seems to change a fair bit each year, and has recently started doing more computer vision based projects.

Type METR4202 into youtube for a few example videos of projects. Difficult to fail, but a lot of work for a high grade, depending on group dynamics.

Minimal use of blackboard, used a UQ hosted website when I did it. Professor Singh is very enthusiastic and it is clear that he loves this area.

Assessment requirements not always clear, since they are created/changed during the semester.

Positives
  • Enthusiastic Professor
  • Practical use of theory
Negatives
  • Assessment structure a bit unclear
