POLS2501 – Human Rights & International Politics77.6
The lectures were very interesting. Some questions on the exam were directly answered in the lectures. The tutes were good, high partipcation marks encouraged students to speak up but this was facilitated by interesting questions supplied by the tutor that were not limited to just what we learnt in lectures. If you like and are interested by global human right affairs, this is the course for you.
POLS2501 – Human Rights & International Politics96.8
This course was a fantastic and enjoyable course to do. The topics discussed in the course were very interesting and were relevant to the current events happening in real time. The tutorials offered a chance for debate on these topics which encouraged significant contributions and was an easy tutorial mark.
While a course reader would have been helpful for this course, the materials provided were very interesting and were very useful references for the assignments.
Jean-Louis Durand was a fantastic lecturer. He has a well knowledge of Human Rights and displays his interest and passion on each topic, which made lectures enjoyable. Each lecture offered something to look forward to and it was interesting to link the topics to current events being seen around the world had how things can be changed.
I would highly recommend this course. The workload was not to onerous and was constantly interesting and provided great background topic for the assignment and the exam.
