PSYC3142 – Intergroup Relations & Group Processes 65.9

Anything taught by Matthew Hornsey is going to be great. He is a terrific and engaging lecturer, and a keen academic. A wide variety of guest lecturers also gave engaging presentations and allowed for students to gain different perspectives of social psychology. Course content ranged from covering the psychology of war and peace, cults, and both perpetrator and victim's perspectives of prejudice. Both the exams and the assignment were harshly marked, so do not believe for a second that studying a social psychology course is going to be a bludge. Tutorials weren't overly exciting. A lot of the content recapped from material learnt in PSYC2040, just in more detail. It is also apparently very similar to PSYC3032. All in all, I'm very glad I did this course.
