MECH2305 – Introduction to Engineering Design and Manufacturing 67.1

This course is mainly a memorisation based course. You don't need to do any complex calculations or something to that matter. The course is mainly split into the assignments and the final exam. The assignments are really easy because there are videos on Blackboard that pretty much help and guide you all the way. Assignment 2 consisted of designing an industry-standard rim design, where students were able to pick any design they liked. This assignment was particularly very interesting as it had a sense of freedom in making our our designs.

The course content usually consisted of one different topic per week, in which we studied a various amount of topics. The topics themselves were very interesting for me.

The final exam was quite easy because it was VERY similar to the previous exams. So for anyone preparing for the final exam for this course should really practice the previous final exams to ensure you get a good grade.

All in all, all of the lecturers were actually friendly and happy to explain things. Probably some of the best lecturers I've had yet. Only downside is that sometimes they'd take a very long time to reply to emails or messages on the Discussion Board on Blackboard.
