MGTS2604 – Introduction to Human Resource Management 46.0

Really poorly organised and structured. The lecturer was difficult to understand and engage with. Lecture slides were hard to follow and jumped all over the place and had spelling mistakes which is very frustrating as it makes it appear as if the lecturer hasn't put the effort in. Tutorials didn't entirely align with lecture content, more the textbook. No mid sem which is a bonus. Easy 20% for tutorial attedence and completing homework (doesn't have to be right to get the marks). Assignment was good and enjoyable. Final exam was okay. The textbook is helpful as it helped to make sense of the poorly organised lecture slides and to answer tutorial homework questions.

MGTS2604 – Introduction to Human Resource Management 84.7

This is one of the easiest courses you'll ever do, an easy 7 if you watch a few of the lectures and go to all the assessable workshops and tutorials.

Textbook is somewhat necessary as major points in the lecture are back but each chapter (ie week 1, chapter 1).

Great assessment weighting to maximise your grad before going into final exam.

Is lecture attendance necessary?

Not 100% necessary BUT really fun

Is the textbook necessary?

Not really, lecture notes covers everything

  • Easiest course you'll ever do, interesting content
  • Lecture and tutorial notes doubled as study notes at the end of the semester as they were straight from the textbook SO don't worry about buying textbook
  • Great assessment weighting to maximise your grad before going into final exam
  • Lots of lists, diagrams and random theories to remember
  • Lectures do sometimes become boring
