RELN1510 – The History of the Supernatural: Angels Ghosts & Demons 96.0

What an amazing course! I'd recommend this course to anyone with an elective next semester! Not only is the course content highly engaging, but the course itself encourages a deeper level of insight to the pop-culture we all know and love. I've come away from this course feeling as if I have a greater level of understanding for the cultural implications that supernatural creatures (such as zombies) have, as well as having a significantly better understanding of the origins of many of the supernatural phenomena we've all heard so much about. Furthermore, the lecturer, Dr. Leigh Penman is not only hilarious, highly engaging and well read, but also is extremely approachable. The assessment layout allows for a high level of student control, in that you get to create your own essay questions for both the minor and major essays (however it would have been great if there had been clearer criteria for this assessment, especially as this is a first year course...). In summary, I loved every minute of this course, and would highly recommend taking it!
