CHEM1200 – Chemistry 2 93.6

Well-structured. A little bit difficult in terms of having a lot of organic chemistry content to memorise, but taught in the best and most concise way possible. The practicals were a bit out of time with the lectures, which was not ideal but possible to deal with, and still a good learning experience. The PASS sheets were a massive help especially in preparing for the exam

CHEM1200 – Chemistry 2 72.4

Follows relatively same structure as CHEM1100 (splitting into 4 modules). First half of the course was very mathematical, whilst the second half focused on reactions which basically necessitated memorisation. Pre-labs and labs were easier (probably because of the experience from 1100) but were still time-consuming and occasionally difficult. Mid sem was easier than 1100, but final was harder because there was far more content. Would recommend attending PASS as some of the leaders explain difficult concepts really well (especially reaction mechanisms which is a nightmare to learn). Also recommend PASS sheets and past exams (even using CHEM1010/1020 ones as 1200 is a relatively new course). Sapling was managed much better as you were given a week or two to do the quiz instead of two hours, so you could go away and think about a question before answering it.

CHEM1200 – Chemistry 2 97.9

This was a fantastic and well-taught course. Some may have found this course difficult but with a little effort and persistence it is an easy 6 or 7. The exams were not overly difficult; in fact the midsemester exam was very straightforward. Some concepts required a bit of thought to understand but otherwise this course was relatively easy. Overall the lecturers were excellent, there were plenty of useful resources and Blackboard was very well managed.

CHEM1200 – Chemistry 2 17.0

This course was terrible. The laboratory components have almost nothing in relation to the lectures, while they are on the same topic, you will find yourself googling almost every prelab question because the lecture slides offer no help whatsoever. Poorly conducted course, the questions in pass classes and exams have little relation to lecture content. The course then becomes difficult with little assistance and bad explanations of subject matter and relevant exam material. No blackboard management whatsoever.
