CHIN2750 – Fundamentals in English > Chinese Translation and Interpreting 80.6

I really like Angela Cook and Shen Chunxuan. Great tutors. The content is overall not too difficult. An ideal elective for the first years. But there was not enough practice for exams, and the mock tests are a bit too easy compared with the actual exams.

CHIN2750 – Fundamentals in English > Chinese Translation and Interpreting 87.1

The course activities are very well designed and the teachers are very well prepared. I especially recommend Dr Shen Chunxuan's class! She is great at correcting styles in class activities. Dr Angela Cook is really nice and offers consultation when she thought she couldn't make herself clear. The course content is also really interesting and introduces plenty of genres of translation, including business, law and literature. The class activities are a bit challenging though, including the weekly quiz. One thing bad is, there seems to be not enough translation homework offered to prepare for the tests.
