CIVL2130 – Environmental Issues, Monitoring & Assessment 72.8

Highly recommended course if only just for the course content that everyone in the world deserves to see. Probably wouldn't recommend this course if you have a fear of group work, with the group work component consisting of 25% of the overall grade. However, the implementation of the course in general isn't too bad either and the lectures are very well presented with clicker questions throughout that are very similar to the final exam....which is basically a memory test.

CIVL2130 – Environmental Issues, Monitoring & Assessment 18.5

This is course is not extremely interesting and if you have some business and economic background, you soon realise that some environmental solutions that the lecturer gives are not economical viable. There are no ways to contact anyone if you have any questions in regards to anything (the lecturer doesn't answers questions on black board or email). There are also no tutorials, and not many questions to check your understanding of basic concepts. Finally, there are no past exams (only samples), and the lecturer expects you to collaborate and discuss solutions with peers, so you have no idea if you are doing a exam question correctly. Lastly, marks take ages to get back. As students were completing the last assessment item, they only received 1 out of the 5 pieces of assessment that have been completed. I would not recommend doing this course.
