COMS3000 – Information Security 73.6

Probably the easiest course I have taken.

Assessment consists of tute questions, assignment, and exam.

Tute questions are the same as last year, and solutions can be found. Just attempting them gives you marks, easiest marks you can get.

Assignment is basically a research paper, requiring little to no knowledge of the actual course content.

Exam is open book, questions are similar to tute questions and not hard at all.

You should find the content to be actually quite interesting when you study it the night before the exam and you will want to actually learn it. There is basically no time commitment needed during the semester making it a perfect elective for a busy semester.

In conclusion, very good course 10/10 would recommend.

COMS3000 – Information Security 84.7

This course focuses more on the theoretical side of information security. There were no practical activities this year, just two reports and a final exam. The material is interesting and relevant however. The reports are flexible, in that you can choose your own topic and ask the lecturer for approval. Lectures were recorded this year and were very watchable.
