ECON1310 – Quantitative Economic & Business Analysis A 57.1

The lecturer Carl is amazing, he explains the concepts well. Fairly easy course easy to get a 7 or 6, lecture attendance is not necessary however beneficial in the second half of the course. Textbook not necessary, but should attend all tutes and keep up with the Tute questions every week. Final exam really easy, do the tutes questions over and over and past exam papers, you should be fine.

A great course. I found it interesting but I understand why some students might find stats very dull. Regardless, it teaches you a lot about how business gather information and make decisions in the real world. Carl Sherwood is a fantastic lecturer.

Carl Sherwood is an indisputable asset for the University of Queensland. He makes the topic of statistics interesting and extremely relevant for students from all degrees. His teaching style is informative and easy to follow. I am disappointed that I don't get to take any more classes with him as this was quite an enjoyable semester in his class.

Statistics is one of the more useful courses I've undertaken so far. The content you learn is instantly appliable. Carl has the ability to teach complex topics in a way that even a kid could understand.
