ECON2320 – Business & Economic Decision Techniques 87.1

This course was one of the easiest courses I have ever taken - probably because it was combined as a masters course. The first assignment did take a lot of time but as you were able to work with friends and ask tutors in consult time for help it really wasn't a problem; the last three assignments took little time for 10%. The course was interesting but was slightly annoying having to learn POM/QM in the tutorials (POM/QM not available on macs only on PCs) when the final exam was obviously not on computers; you needed POM/QM for the assignments. Lectures were recorded every time and lecture slides were extremely comprehensive. It is also important to note in the final exam we had to complete 6 questions which some topics were not assessable and this was revealed in the review lecture - so be sure to listen to that when you do the course. We were able to take in a double sided sheet of A4 paper typed or untyped with anything on it and we were also provided with a formula sheet the same as all other years. Doing the assignment yourself and understanding it proved to be the best type of study you could do for the course as at least 30% of the final exam was a replica of these questions.

Overall, the course was intellectually stimulating and straight forward. Interesting to see applicable models to real life situations.
