HIST1201 – Australia and the Asia-Pacific World 65.0

Clive was a good lecturer who clearly had plenty of knowledge and expertise in Australian history, he did tend to ramble though and in a few lectures I managed to sit through them and not have paid any attention. My tutor wasn't the best, but his performance improved heaps throughout the course (he didn't even show up to the first tutorial). It's a good course to take to ease you into doing history at a university level and I really enjoyed being able to relate the history back to where Australia is today. The course looks at 'the history wars' a fair bit and sometimes in the tutorials there would be massive disagreements which made them interesting and engaging.

Great subject. Really interesting content, as you are examining modern issues (such as marriage equality and immigration) through Australian history.
