KORN1011 – Written Korean IA 88.8

Taking this course alongside KORN1010, content was similar between the two courses. Although Isaac does stick to the textbook, he provides some real life information and examples that the textbook misses. Having Isaac as a tutor, he encourages students to create their own sentences which is both daunting and helpful in learning the language.

In terms of assessment, the vocal tests and first written exams are quite easy especially if you study. However, the spoken test was very rushed and confusing. Compared to KORN1010's spoken test, the structure of the spoken test was not very clear. As for the final exam, it's pretty much like any exam so study hard and study well because it does have its difficult sections.

If you want to take this course as an elective, it is an easy 7 if you study but I'd suggest taking KORN1010 instead. However, don't let that stop you from taking the course. Isaac and the tutors are all very encouraging and since it's beginner content, it should be pretty easy.
