Dr Alastair Robb 89.2

Al Robb is probably the best lecturer I have had at UQ. He is extremely easy going, very intelligent and astoundingly approachable.

He writes the content for his subjects himself, so the structure of the course is always easy to follow. And they are extremely detailed.

He will also go out of your way to help you: he is readily available via email and in consults, he is also reasonable and will grant you allowances if you need them. And he is hilarious, always up for a chat and has plenty of anecdotes to share.

  • Extremely approachable
  • Very clear material and well organised
  • Interesting subject matter
  • His assignments always have very clear steps, but he is notorious for setting challenging finals to separate the pack
  • Can go on personal tangents
