I had James Laurenceson for ECON2020 in 2013, though I struggled through the course he was by far the best lecturer I have had to date. He delivers his lectures excellently and nine times out of ten will actually keep you engaged with the content. He is very approachable and teaches in a well paced, and well thought out manner.
I have been at uni for almost 3 years now and James Laurenceson is still in my mind as the best lecturer at UQ. I had him for ECON1010 a few years ago. This was the first course I had, and my first ever lecture at UQ was with James. He definitely gave a great introduction to UQ for me.
He explained things so clearly, used great examples that were relatable (funnily, he used marijuana and prostitutes as examples quite often...). He was very clear, spoke at a perfect pace, and was very approachable.
I would love to be able to have James for every one of my courses.
